Overview
This immersive course takes you off the flat range and into realistic problem-solving. You will build the ability to access, shoot, and manage your pistol from the ground, utilize cover and barricades effectively, and transition between positions efficiently—while maintaining safety and performance standards.
What You’ll Learn
- Ground-fighting pistol skills: seated, supine, and fetal positions
- Weapon access, retention, and reholstering from the ground
- Effective use of cover/barricades: around, over, and under obstacles
- Efficient position changes: standing ⇄ kneeling ⇄ seated ⇄ supine
- Malfunction management and reloads in compromised positions
- Coaching points & instructor-level safety management for positional shooting
Who Can Attend
- Intermediate to advanced shooters with prior pistol training
- Instructors seeking deeper positional/cover curriculum
- LEAD Firearms Instructor Candidates & alumni (priority access)
Gear Requirements
- Reliable pistol + quality holster (no Serpa or unsafe designs)
- Minimum 3 magazines + mag pouch; sturdy belt
- Eye and ear protection
- Knee and elbow pads (recommended)
- Clothing suitable for ground training; gloves optional
- Concealment garment if training concealed
- Handheld or WML flashlight (optional for barricade work)
- 400 rounds of reliable ammo (we will have ammo available for sell on site)
