Jake Engelen is a former Marine infantry machine gunner with combat deployments to Afghanistan. As a squad leader, Jake has vast experience with private security detail having worked directly with his battalion commander and other top ranking officials in highly stressful environments. Jake has remained active as a .38 firearms instructor for the past 7 years, teaching several disciplines in both Brazil and America. He is also a martial arts practitioner and holds a master’s degree in applied mathematics.
Yves Sousa is a Director at USBR Defense and 88 Tactical and a business developer for .38 America. He has been a shooter, firearms enthusiast and collector for over 20 years. Yves has trained with .38 since 2003 and holds certifications from several other training institutions in the US. As a businessman Yves owns several businesses around the globe and currently competes in USPSA, practices jiu-jitsu and holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from Pepperdine University.
Ryan Jensen began his Mixed Martial Arts journey over 25 years ago as a teenager and has competed for the UFC, Strike Force, Bellator, VFC, Sport Fight, etc. Ryan is a brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. He enjoys coaching as much as competing, and is the owner of Premier Combat Center one of the leading combat gyms in the Midwest. Ryan has trained some of the top talent in Mixed Martial Arts today and has spent over 15 years training local and federal law enforcement agents in defensive tactics. He is currently a Director at Premier Combat Center, Complete Tactical Consultants and Senior Combatives Instructor at .38
Chris Brammer is a graduate of the elite U.S. Army Sniper School along with the State Department’s WPS DDM, Accuracy First Long-Range Advanced Course, Max Ordinance Advanced Police Sniper Course, and has participated in international sniper competitions. Most of his curriculum development is based off of behavioral norms experienced as a sniper and combat leader in Iraq and Afghanistan, along with his employment as an Emergency Response Team Sniper in multiple high threat environments, including the defense of the U.S. Consulate in Basra, Iraq.
Troy Fullbright is a 20+ year Law Enforcement Officer, serving 20 of these years on several Tactical Units in the state of Oklahoma. His current assignment is as a full-time Instructor for a large metropolitan Police Agency. Troy also serves as a Team Leader for the largest multi-jurisdictional SWAT team in Oklahoma.
Once an avid competitor, Troy achieved the ranks of Master in PPC, IDPA, and USPSA. Having won several state and national titles, Troy put competition behind him to further develop and focus on his teaching ability. Troy holds Instructor Certifications in Autoloading Pistol, Revolver, Patrol Rifle, Long Range Rifle, and Shotgun.
Tony Eduardo Hoerhann has been a firearms instructor since 1995 and a Jiu-Jitsu black belt since 2004. Coming from a 20-generation tradition in weapons training, he has being teaching several elite law enforcement and military units in the US in both armed and unarmed combat. As an athlete, Tony has earned several titles in shooting and in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Tony holds the current positions of Master Instructor of Shooting and Defensive Tactics / Combatives at .38 and Defensive Tactics Senior Consultant and Instructor at Complete Tactical Consultants Inc.
